420 Grade Spring Stainless Steel Strip's microstructure is martensitic and contains 12.0-14.0% Cr(Chrome) in it's structure. 420 Grade Spring Stainless Steel Strips are named 1.4021 or X20Cr13 according to EN norm. However, apart from the EN norm, they are also known as SAE/AISI 420 in the market. The chromium ratio in the material is over 12% and therefore the chromium oxide layer covering the material surface ensures that the material is stainless. 420 Grade Stainless Steel Strips have a high hardness value (45-51 HRc). Its abrasion and corrosion resistance is average.

420 Grade Spring Stainless Steel Strips are widely used, especially due to their high capability of heat treatment, high magnetic holding and spring like properties.
